PRESS ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN “TYGODNIK PŁOCKI”, ABOUT FINALIZED RETROFITTING OF BUILDINGS – 29-01-2016

Municipality Bodzanow finalized the project entitled: “Retrofitting of public buildings in the Municipality Bodzanow” co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014. Main aims of the project were to improve energy efficiency in education buildings, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.

Thermo Modernization was conducted at the School Complex in Nowe Miszewo and included a primary school, middle school and gym. Within the project exterior walls of buildings, ceilings and roofs has been insulated. The existing oil boilers were replaced by a new biomass boilers. Municipality Bodzanow also expanded the range of energy-efficient refurbishment with the replacement of windows and doors. These measures resulted in reducing the energy losses and the increasing the share of thermal energy from renewable sources in the overall energy consumption balance.  Thermomodernization will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions, improving air quality and working conditions as well a the health of people staying every day in school buildings.

In addition, the investment will increase the attractiveness of Bodzanów Municipalities which gained aesthetic public facilities.
